Get an introduction to stained glass by making a suncatcher on this one day taster session.  You will learn how to folllow a pattern, cut glass, and solder it together.  Originally pioneeered in the 19th century by Tiffany and LaFarge, this technique is the perfect introduction to using glass for colour and light.

On this workshop we'll learn just one of the hundred techniques that can be used to paint on glass. 

This is a technical course, and we'll be copying an existing image (provided by us). 

You will learn to reproduce the closest possible the images given in order to learn the technique. 

Create a beautiful fused piece with intriguiging patterns of lines and lenses -- and learn a lot about howe glass fuses -- in this one day taster session!

In this workshop you will be printing photographic images via silkscreen onto clear & opaque glass using lead-free enamels in black, white and shades of grey.  You will create two multi-layered prints using a variety of pre-prepared silkscreens containing a selection of portraits, plants and patterns

On this weekend workshop (two intense days of hard and fun work) you will learn the basis of glass painting and you will assemble a small panel with the copper foil technique.

In this workshop you will learn the basics of creating leaded stained glass.  We will cover glass cutting, leading, soldering and some design considerations for working with leaded glass.  This is a great introduction to a craft that is both contemporary and ancient.

Create a pair of unique portraits of loved ones (human or animal) contrasting their silhouettes with beautiful and interesting patterns -- using coloured powdered glass and fusing!  We'll explore the use of positive and negativfe spaces, and ways to use colour and pattern to communicate something unique about the subject. On this day we'll learn a couple of very simple techniques.

Working with real leaves, glass powders, micas, and glass sheets, we'll produce a couple of projects: a small dish and a beautiful framed panel.

And all without needing to cut glass!!!

Sandbasting allows you to create a frosted surface on glass.  The process of sandblasting involves firing fine sand at the glass.  By using resists, we can control the effect to create imagery, text and textures.

We'll learn to use different techniques and materials to create these delicate relief  images on glass.
